DPB-500 Overview

The DBP-500 Barcode Kit allows the customer to match each book block to the correct book cover on both the DPB-500 DuBinder and DPB-500 PUR models.

The DPB-500 bar code kit is attached to both the clamp and cover feed sections of the binder. The operator simply presents the book into the clamp where the bar code reader scans the code and stores the information.

The cover is then fed and scanned and then compares the data in order to provide total integrity of each book. Un matched data will immediately stop the binding process allowing the operator to correct the error.

All bar code functions are controlled from the DPB-500 touch screen panel in order to provide for a simple and easy set up procedure. The bar code function can be simply switched off if this feature is not required.

The DPB-500 bar code kit supports both 1D, and 2D barcodes. Please refer to the specification sheet for details on sizes and the barcode printing range.

Remodeling Kit and MC unit

In order to fit both of the Bar code readers, it might require the need to fit a number of small items. These parts are required to allow the fitting of the bar code unit into the binder.

The need to order these parts will be dependent upon the serial numer of the Dubinder. Please refer to product ordering details.

The fitting of the remodeling kit and bar code readers will take apprix 4 hours.
